I of course love a good smiling picture, but the moments I adore the most during sessions are the raw ones: a new mom gazing at her brand new baby, siblings giggling and loving on each other, The connections and the people who make us who we are-that's what truly matters in life! I want to capture that love and turn it into art that you will treasure for years to come! I'm super laid back and want your experience to be stress-free and fun! what do you specialize in?
there isn't one certain area of portraiture that I specialize in, but I'd have to say newborns are my favorite! I enjoy all types of portraiture though, and as of now, I offer the following services: newborns, children, families, maternity, & seniors.
do you have a studio?
YES! my studio space is in madison, mn! it's a beautiful old brick and mortar building. it's extra special to me because my dad, husband, and brother did the majority of the work!
how and when do i book a session?
you can email me at photosbykristajo@hotmail.com, or shoot me a message on my facebook page "photos by krista jo, llc". i like to book sessions as soon as possible--nothing is ever "too early" in my books! contact me at LEAST two months prior to the time-frame you're looking at, and at least 3-4 months prior during my busier summer/fall months. newborn mamas can contact me anytime during their pregnancy to line up a newborn session--THE SOONER THE BETTER! i will then put your due date on my calendar which gives you a guaranteed spot once your little babe arrives!

what happens after your session?
after our session, I go through and select the very best photos from our time together. within 2 weeks of your session, i will send you a link to your password-protected online gallery. if you choose to purchase a digital collection, you will favorite your picks, and I will re-upload your professionally edited photos to your gallery! You can then download, print, and share them to your heart's desire! If you choose to purchase prints/other products, your selections will be edited and products will be delivered to you within about 1 week.
