hello!

Krista here! Owner + photographer at Photos by Krista Jo, LLC! I have a love for capturing people's beautiful memories and families! My goal is to create timeless images that you'll cherish, while making the experience stress-free and FUN! I love moody tones that amplify emotion in an image, and I reflect that in my work! I have a beautiful studio in Madison, MN that I adore, but in the warmer months you'll find me outside chasing that pretty light! I'm a wife and mom of three amazing kids: Piper, Willow, and River. My family is my everything! On the average day you'll find me on my laptop wearing sweats and not a stitch of makeup  (I know--so glamorous, right?!) When I don't have a camera or computer mouse in my hand, I'm busy being a mama, binging netflix shows, or painting something in my house! I'm a lover of home decor and throw pillows, and my husband Jake and I like to play "fixer upper" to our little farmhouse! He has the talent and puts up with my visions! ;)  My other obsessions include donuts, working with my hands to create things, mountain dew, good food, good friends, and spending time with my adorable nieces and family!
